Natural colors and bold bright colors are the trends this spring for makeup cosmetics. From lip color to eye makeup, have fun with this Spring 09 Makeup Trends.
This spring is about the extremes. From the brightest colors to the most neutral palette, it will be easy to stay up to date this season. Opposites have never been more beautiful or more fun. Neutral LooksNatural products are everywhere as well as cosmetics. The natural product is also transferring over into a natural look, especially for the lip. A nice neutral lip is great this spring with bold smudged eyeliner will be seen everywhere. To wear a neutral lip first line and fill in the lips with a flesh toned lip liner. Pick a lipstick color that has a light pink or peach undertone that is within the shade of the skin tone (no more than one - two shades darker). Apply the lipstick with a brush blending the lipstick color with the lip liner. Tip: Make sure to keep the face is matte with a healthy bronzer and a light pink blush on the apple of the cheeks. Bubble Gum ColorsBold pinks and corals are in this year. With MAC Cosmetics being the leader on this trend with their Hello Kitty line of cosmetics. Bold, bright colors can be worn with confidence for spring. Go for bright pink lipsticks and lip glosses as well as a cherry colored blush. Any bright color will work on the eyes, especially bright teals and bright blues. If it isn’t bright, it isn’t right! Bright colors will also be seen on the nails. Some of the main colors to grab will be teals and purples. Tip: If going bright all over is scary, start with a bright lip or a bright eye shadow on the lid. Get used to a little bit of color before going all out. Daring Lip ColorsFrom cherry to orange bright bold colors on the lip is another hot makeup trend for spring. Red lips can be difficult to get used to; just remember to play down the rest of the look. To wear, first start with a lip stain in a cherry color. Dab a little on with a lip brush. This step will help lock in the lip color. After applying a lip stain, line and fill in the lips with a neutral lip liner. Then apply lipstick with a lip blush. Tip: To pick the right bright color stick with this simple guideline: cherry reds for ivory skin tones, orange reds for olive skin tones, and fuchsias for dark complexions. Enjoy the spring weather!
