NARS has released two new eyeshadow duos for fall 2008: Cordura and Isolde. Cordura takes the bronzes and the shimmers of summer and translates into the popular golds and bronze-browns that we saw on the runway for fall 2008. The two coller-toned shades are soft and sultry and full of shimmer. The high shimmer content means they should be used sparingly for daytime and are not ideal for more mature eyelids, except as an accent.
Isolde is a duo for those who want to add warmth to their color palette with a gingery gold and a beautiful, shimmery copper. Copper is a must-have color for anyone who wants their green eyes to "pop" this fall, and NARS has produced one of the most wearable shades on the market.
Again, one needs to be careful to not overdo the use of shimmer in a daily look or if the eye area has fine lines and creases. However, this duo will not only be a hit for this fall, it will prove popular well into the holiday season, too.
NARS Lipsticks and Lipgloss For Fall 2008
In addition to one of the top five lipsticks for fall 2008, NARS has released two lipsticks and one lipgloss with the fall collection.
Senorita, a light , cool-toned, shimmering rose-pink lipstick, fits well with the trend of pairing glamourous eyes with a pale, natural lip. It's sheer in texture, meaning that it won't look thick or heavy when applied. The light shimmer to the color will reflect light and is wonderful for aging lips. Additionally, NARS formulates all of its sheer lipsticks with a nourishing dose of Vitamin E, which is a continual lip hydrator.
Beautiful Liar, the second shade released for the fall 2008 collection is a warmer-toned sheer lipstick with a hint of a coral copper color. Again, as it is sheer, it provides just a wash of color without weighing down the lips. This shade is designed to effortlessly blend with the Isolde Eyeshadow Duo.
Top either lipstick off with the new NARS Lipgloss, Female Trouble. The addition of lipgloss takes a day look into night with little effort. This muted lilac pink is ideal for those with cooler toned to their skin, or over the top of a warmer color for those who carry more warm tones.
